  What’s the easiest way to get current news about the Parade weekend?

  When and where is the Parade?
Saturday, March 10th, 2012, starting at Noon at Third and Wisconsin in Downtown Milwaukee. Please refer to the route map on this web site.

  Do I have to be Irish to enjoy the Parade?
Yes, but fortunately, everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! (And by special dispensation of St. Patrick, the duration of this miracle extends backwards to the previous Saturday, which is when the Parade takes place every year.)

  Where are the best locations for families with small children?
We suggest Wisconsin Avenue near The Shops of Grand Avenue, Plankinton Avenue near the Milwaukee County Historical Society or Old World Third Street near Pere Marquette Park. See the route map on this web site. We also recommend the area around the review stand.

  Will the weather be nice for this year’s Parade?

  Will the Shamrock Club's Post Parade Party Be Held March 10th?
The Post Parade Party will be held from 1 until 6 p.m., at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, 2133 West Wisconsin Avenue.

  Will there be food pickup for the poor along the parade route?
Yes. The Milwaukee chapter of the Friends of St Patrick Centre, along with Hunger Task Force, will be collecting food along the route. Volunteers will be picking up food in shopping carts. For more information about the food pickup, call 414-476-3378, or 414-529-5509 .

  How can I get downtown to see the Parade?
We recommend the Milwaukee County Transit System. Please consult www.ridemcts.com for route maps and fare information. Or - you may call the MCTS bus information line: 414-344-6711.

  If we are driving to downtown Milwaukee, where can we park?
Refer to the web site. www.parkmilwaukee.com. Many lots have parking specials for the event. The best deal is The Grand Avenue Mall which offers $3 parking for the event.

  Will food and drink be available at the Parade?
Yes. Food and beverages will be available from merchants along the route in the Old World Third Street, Plankinton and Water Street entertainment districts. Don’t miss the all of the parade day entertainment and events along the parade route - including the largest parade-day party at Mo’s Irish Pub.
